JPS School for leaders under the progressive management and visionary correspondent is leaving no stone unturned to
inculcate best practices and pedagogies in its teaching learning process. One such leadership programme the school is
successfully running is "Leader in Me" - Which is a whole school transformation programme based on Stephen Covey's Seven
Habits as under
- Be Proactive
- Begin with end in mind
- Put First thing first
- Think Win – Win
- Seek first to understand then to be understood
- Synergize
- Sharpen the saw
These habits if mastered helps child to be leader in true sense. Physical environment plays important role in
inculcating these habits, and hence a seven habit tree is created by learners of all the class. This tree will remind them
of the values they have to develop and use it in real life. As next step soon the books based on seven habits will be
given to the learners.
Teacher as Role Model - Leader in Me
Practice before you preach. At JPS we believe in modelling seven habits leadership traits for our learners. In today's
assembly teachers performed a skit on how reactive and proactive child get ready to school.Children loved watching teachers
acting like students. Children were able to identify what is reactive behavior and proactive behavior. They are now geared
up to show their pro-activeness at home.

Leader In Me Level 2 - Full faculty and Staff Training
"Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other". The members of JPS family underwent the Level 2 Full faculty and Staff Training for the Leader In Me program. It was an enriching session facilitated by Ms.Janitha of Franklin Covey who has played a major role in transforming more than 5000 schools into leadership schools.
The session began with review & reflection of Level 1 implementation. The members were then trained on the steps to create the three types of mission statements Class, Personal (Student) & Professional (Staff). An enlightening session on student leadership roles was followed by a session on facilitating the students in the creation of
Leadership Notebook. The day's training ended with the creation of a plan and timeline for level 2 implementation.
The seven habit training based on Leader in Me Curriculum was conducted for JPS support staff.
