Jain Public School is a proud recipient of the coveted International School Award (ISA) instituted by British Council,UK, making it an ideal platform for global learning. The award recognises and celebrates exemplary practices of internationalism in schools and is a benchmarking scheme that accredits schools as having an outstanding level of support for nurturing global citizenship in young people and enriching teaching-learning processes. The accreditation focuses on implementation of an international dimension in the school’s curriculum and has a wide spread impact on teachers and students. British council pannel of assessors appreciated the carefully designed curriculum and it's implementation, global exchange programmes and the activities carried out which showed ample evidence of internationalism in curriculum. We are thankful to all our stake holders.
The International School Award (ISA) offered by the British Council is a bench marking scheme that accredits schools as having an outstanding level of support for nurturing global citizenship in young people and enriching teaching and learning. ISA is a leadership challenge and fosters team-building, innovation and project management. Through the implementation of ISA students get global themes embedded in the curriculum. It opens the window to other countries and their cultures giving both the teacher and pupil a new outlook on the world. The impact of ISA is on three levels knowledge, skill and attitude. Hence it helps prepare pupils with skills for life and work in a global economy, opening new avenues to them. The teachers of Jain Public School today attended a workshop which would enable them to take the local curriculum to the global level.
When the pursuit of knowledge and passion to impart true education is the end in mind, the efforts know no bounds. The visionary management at Jain Public school always facilitates the growth and development of the skills of its stake holders. Principal Mrs Jalpa Shah accompanied by Mrs. Ritu Roy attended a prestigious workshop on Leadership Management, Lead your School to Success. The workshop was organized by the British council, with whom JPS has tied up for various interactive collaborations with partner schools across the globe. Learned international corporate trainer Mr. Shrinivasan Santhanam was the resource person and he conducted a very motivating session. Various aspects on Leadership, resource management, collaboration, team building , difference between Leaders and Managers were discussed. Tips were given on effective management of resources, roles to be taken, building and managing teams were discussed. Engaging activities, interaction , question answer sessions were held, It was a very enriching experience.
A day to cherish the love and bond we share with our partner school in Korea as part of British Council connect classroom programme. The day started with new year greetings, sweets and gifts received from across the globe. As we rightly say world is a small family !!

At Jain Public School we believe in nurturing the above values in our young leaders and to achieve the same we provide them with plethora of opportunities which will enable them to explore the global opportunities in their curriculum. In lieu of the same a workshop was conducted for the academic staff by school principal. A complete training on adding international dimension to the curriculum, writing learning objectives and action plan for both inhouse an collaborative teaching learning pedagogies with partner schools across the globe was given in the workshop School is taking a giant step by getting itself accredited from non other then British Council for adding international dimension to the curriculum
Armstrong's landing on moon is popularly referred to as "one small step for a man but a giant leap for mankind". On a parallel line, it was a day's workshop at British council attended by school Principal and English H.O.D but a giant step for Jain Public School aimed at adding an international dimension to the curriculum and creating global leaders.
The session began with a discussion on the purpose and benefits of introducing international dimension to the curriculum. The various steps on the journey towards the International School Award were then outlined. Choosing a topic with scope for international dimension, stakeholders involvement, collaboration with partner schools and evidence collection techniques were some of the topics elucidated during the session.
The attendees were then briefed on how to frame a suitable 'Action Plan' for the International School Award. The session concluded with a hands-on session on 'Action Plan' preparation.
In this age of emails and digital communication, receiving a hand written greetings by friends far away is an awesome moment. Jain Public School celebrated such happening today. As part of the cultural exchange program, the letters we received letters to each and every child in grade 1 and 2 from Great Coates Primary School, England. The euphoria of our children to read the letters that was ineffable.
The school profile with work done in different area is uploaded on the British Council website and around 19 schools all over the world gave confirmation to work collaboratively on different projects with us. As per the interest of the learners and the curriculum needs JPS will start the online project with International schools. This will give opportunities and wide platform to our learners and broaden their horizon.
The fundamental idea of the festivals is to share the happiness with others, wishing each other create sets the air to pep up for the festivity. Sharing of greeting cards across borders is even more exciting. Jain Public School and Great Coates Primary School collaborates as part of British Council Cultural Exchange Program.
On 11th Feb, JPS Students were invited to experience a Japanese Animated Movie named POPINQ as part of the cultural exchange programme organized by Japanese Consulate. We were the few invited schools for this screening which was inaugurated by Honorable Consulate General Uchiyama Sama. The movie shared about how team work can make things work and how together we can make better world.

Jain Public School believes in incorporating Internationalism in all aspects of curricular and co - curricular functioning. School Principal along with educators were invited by secretary General , Indo Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry to learn famous and sacred Japanese art of flower arrangements IKEBANA
Honourable Ojiro Uchiyama, Consulate General of Japan was the chief guest and session was conducted by Ms.Cherry, Master IKEBANA. It was mesmarizing to see the beautiful art. Soon teachers will be registered for training and same will be part of skill club and art education classes.
As a part of its prestigious British Council International School Collaboration Programme, Jain Public School has partnered with different schools all around the globe namely located in Pakistan, South Korea, Japan and Nigeria. Students will pick up a topic under their syllabus and work collaboratively with the partner schools on the common theme. Aim of the project is to provide international exposure to our learners Today the students of grade 9th interacted with the Students of Beacon house School system Gulistan, Karachi of Pakistan. The students discussed the topic Sustainable Development Goals. These goals aim to create a poverty free world which is safe and has a better environment.
Dressed in traditional colourful outfits the young leaders of JPS not only spoke on sustainability but also portrayed their rich cultural heritage and the unique aspects of their school. They highlighted Leadership curriculum, Green School Programme, BTC, and many other innovative initiatives of the school towards socio, cultural and environmental conservation and development.
Students of Beacon house exchanged their ideas on SDG initiatives like Gender Equality, Climate Action, Environment, Health and Sanitation. Students of JPS too added their views on these SDP initiatives like affordable and clean Energy, Respectable consumption and production, Good health and Well Being, Gender Equality etc. Students spoke of key partnership aspects like exchanging worksheets and joint collaboration Projects. Students displayed amicable enthusiasm and appreciation and applauded each other as they spoke.
The session ended with students sang melodious songs on culture nationalism and Leadership. The leaders of Jain Public school sang their self composed song on Leadership and Seven habits thus taking the session forth to a crescendo of enthusiastic energy the happiness and confidence on the faces of our Young leaders was infectious indeed.
The concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam - "The world is one family" is truly imbibed at Jain Public school. we believe in taking a concept and teaching from local to global level. In lieu of the same we have collaborated with British council for connect classroom programme where a particular topic is discussed from local to global level. Today grade II did their collaborative project with Dae-In High school, south Korea on the theme of Food and culture. JPS Students enthusiastically discussed about their school, Indian food, culture and festivals and sang seven habits song. Dae-In high school students shared information on their rich cultural heritage, food and festivals. It was indeed pleasure to see happy faces interacting cross borders.
As a part of its Prestigious British Council collaboration with schools across the globe the students of Jain Public School had a very interesting Skype meeting with its partner school Lifeforte School Nigeria . Students had a good session expressing their views on energy conservation and resource management. Young leaders shared their experiment and initiatives as waste management auditors with some of their projects and also the appreciation and awards for the same. It was a moment of immense pride for the students to showcase their achievement.
Students of grade VI as part of their social science and green curriculum took a Collaborative project with Lifeforte International school, Nigeria which is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS), the British Council Schools Network (BCSN) and a Cambridge International School. Young leaders became Eco- entrepreneurs where they worked on recycling waste material make products like bead crafts, candles, graphic designs, greeting cards etc- Momentos for guests with JPS logo were also created from the waste material.
The session started with the students of life forte international school presenting an interesting power point on becoming an active eco-preneur and shared their views on how they up-cycle wood. Young eco-entrepreneurs of JPS showed all the products which they have made and shared the work done under Green school Programme. The session lasted for about an hour and great learning happened between two schools.
Feed backs are always good specially when they come from cross borders. As part of British council connect classroom programme young leaders of JPS had exchanged video on Indian Food and culture with school in Korea. It was pleasure to see the work of our young leaders reviewed by the associate school by sharing their wonderful feedback.
When technology is used to it's best in education system innovative teaching learning experiences are enthuse students. It was one such day for our grade 5 and 6 students of JPS. Our students and Students from Bangladesh had a wonderful knowledge sharing and discussion session on Provisions in education system for differently abled students across India, and Bangladesh. ur students interacted with the Bangladeshi students through Skype. It was a great exchange program that allows students to think beyond textbooks on how the disability students are handled in their countries and what they can do to help them.
It was a Hallmark day for Jain Public school as delegates from Ministry of Education SriLanka along with Principals and Academic auditors pan India visited Jain public school. The dignitaries spent an entire day at the school enjoying the excellent hospitality and learning from the best practices of the school. They were showcased with all that the school stands for and excels in be it leadership, green school practices, Multiple intelligences, Montessori methods, reading and KOR programs, Google classroom and Excellent infrastructure and facilities. JPS principal led the delegation through the achievements of the school and explained its best practices to them. Students showcased their learning and performed a street play on experiential learning a musical medley created with waste items .They also explained about the culture and traditions of the country. The delegation felicitated respected managing trustee Amarprakash foundations ,Mr Aashish Surana and Principal JPS for their initiatives and support. The day ended well with the delegation giving a wonderful feedback of the outstanding standard of education key facilities like Life Skills and MI, innovative methods and skill based learning of school.
Educators and students from Auguste and Louis Lumiere High School, LaCiotat, France landed at Jain Public school on 03.04.2019 as part of British Council Global exchange programme. Students and educators will spend week in India along with Jain Public school to understand culture, academics and various pedagogies at JPS. students were warmly welcomed by School Principal. They had their morning breakfast relishing Indian and continental dishes. Executive Director Mr. Aashish Surana visionary behind the entire exchange programme greeted the children and ensured on their well being. Students will be part of JPS campus from tomorrow involved in various academic and co-curricular activities.
It was a day filled with enthusiasm and energy as our French delegates were given a warm welcome by school band team followed by beautiful Assembly presentation by students and teachers of Auguste and Louis Lumiere High school . The assembly started with prayers from both side followed by Word and thought of the day presented by the educators of partner school. It was followed by a beautiful dance sequence on the folk music of French school . JPS students and teachers enthusiastically joined in the gaeity. It was a wonderful experience for both schools
Global leaders of Jain Public school mesmerized French delegates with various skills be it Karate, dance or music which they have developed in their art education classes . It was fun to see our leaders teaching French children with lots of fun and enthusiasm. The day started with evoking blessings of Lord in famous Thiruneermalai Temple. Delegates were happy to share our culture and life

Grade IV and V leader of Jain Public school are studying the farming condition across the countries of the globe as part of their ISA projects. It was a great learning as delegates from France presented useful information on farming and soil condition in France , type of crops, effects of pollution on soil and it's condition and ways in which they deal with this effects. This was followed by session from correspondent on Leader in Me Programme.

Yet another proud moment for JPS to meet Mr. Emmanuel Samson, ambassador of France in India, to promote higher education in France . delegates from Louis High school and JPS kids and teachers had wonderful interaction on almost all the topics under the sun .JPS principal and Mr. Samson further discussed about strengthening the bond between school and Counselate in terms of University top ups, more cultural exchange, scholarship for JPS students, visa support etc
A small farewell ceremony was organized to bid goodbye to the delegates and felicitate all the parents who trusted our vision and became part of this phenomenal Journey More is yet to come as JPSite would be soon visiting France and will be hosted by our partner school
Jain Public school in its constant endeavour to carve path for Global leaders has one more feather in the cap through it's collobration with Russian centre of science and culture. Mr.Gennadii Rogalev - Counselate General of Russia agreed on tieups at various level like school exchange program, space exploration programme , scholarship and undergraduate courses admission and visa support . It was a great opportunity for leaders to explore and looking forward for wonderful exchange.
