Reading Week Celebration Nothing beats the pleasure and companionship of a good book! Young Leaders at JPS are always engaged in plethora of activities that aim in bringing out their talents and sharpening their skills. Keeping true to its tradition of excellence a week long Reading celebrations were conducted. Enthusiasm and curiosity filled in the air of the school, with books, reading, writing and the culmination was the activity with the wonderful storytelling by the teachers. Reading week activity included book donation drive conducted by the student council members who constantly motivated students to bring books. Drop everything and Read, these words brought in happy reading time for the students who enjoyed reading their favourite book. A story writing competition was conducted for the classes IX and X that kindled the creative quotient of the students. Finally the icing to the cake was storytelling by the teachers dressed up as students favourite characters Gajapathy Kulapathi. The teachers went to every classroom and reformed the story that brought in Surprise and a great level of happiness in children.
In order to instill love for reading and inculcate skills in our young leaders Jain Public school is organizing largest Book Fair on 3rd December 2018. Book fair will have variety of books from various publications for all the age groups. We invite all our parents to be part of the mega fair.
Young leaders of JPS reveled in joy as they actively involved in Library week held in school premise. Word play, creative writing author interaction and a plethora of other activities are planned. As a part of this celebration, on Monday the 23rd October , students of grade four sang melodious song based on the love of books and why library is a place of ultimate joy and learning.
A series of tongue twisters were recited by the students and this was a sure test of their art of articulation of words. Students of grade VI also participated in a proverb contest where they wrote interesting proverbs based on the hints given. This tested their linguistic and memory skills. The students also penned down wonderful spell binding stories as a part of the contest.
Library Week celebration at Jain Public School touched another pinnacle of success as students of grade 6 to 10 exhibited their debating skills. The young leaders enthusiastically debated on the topic "Education in India and Abroad". They spoke eloquently and came up with excellent facts on the subject.

The state of art school library and Reading room at JPS provides them a bottomless treasure trove to loose themselves in to. The well-stocked library transports young learners in to different era. The school also runs a separate reading Club Programme which is well stocked, colourful and provides plethora of opportunities to learners to develop reading, writing and communication skills.
