Education is the strongest medium to help people understand and address the impacts of climate change, encourage change in their attitudes and behaviour and help in a transition towards a more sustainable future. Environment is a joint responsibility and it is high time we unite and take small steps which will bring big difference to our environment. At JPS we recognize this and hence school has associated with 'The Climate Reality Project' India which is the Indian branch of Nobel Laureate and former Vice President Al Gore's climate change leadership program founded in June 2006.
The Climate Reality Project aims to address the issues of climate change and sustainability through education. The Teachers Training Program and the Climate Youth Leadership Program endeavors to make education systems not only responsive to, and prepared for the current and emerging challenges, but also a truly proactive force in triggering action to move towards a sustainable development agenda by empowering teachers and the youth to make informed decisions as citizens, stakeholders and consumers.
A training programme was held for our educators in the school premise. The Teachers Training Program will help teachers to understand the causes, dynamics and impacts of climate change together with understanding the impeding importance of the Sustainable Development goals through a holistic approach. The theoretical understanding of climate change and sustainability will be further supported by a range of pedagogical approaches that they can use in their own school environment to foster engagement in the whole school for change to a sustainable development. Teachers can further develop their capacities to facilitate students' community based learning to nurture an emotional connect with existing challenges.
The school will soon become part of "Indian Climate Aware School Network" once the educators will clear the online sustainable certification course.

various Google applications like forms, drive, hangout, sites, and calendar etc and integrates them successfully in teaching, learning
and administrative processes. Aim of GEGs’ are to promote use of GAFE applications in the fellow educator community thereby helping

Integration of QR code technology in teaching learning process
QR, or Quick Response codes, are two-dimensional bar codes that can be read using smartphones, tablets, laptops and dedicated QR
reading devices. They link directly to articles, emails, websites, phone numbers, videos, social media pages and more. QR technology
provides a wealth of benefits for the techno-friendly teacher. QR codes can hold over 4000 characters of information. Instead of
printing out a long worksheet or article to the students, QR codes could give them direct and instantaneous access to the same resource
in class or at home. We not only save time but also save a tree simultaneously!
There are many other ways QR codes in school. They enhance students’ learning experience and help promote the school to parents and
visitors. As a classroom practitioner, they add another string to your professional bow. A session for all staff was organized on the
integration of this wonderful application in their teaching – learning process. Teachers were step wise explained how to generate a QR
code for given worksheet, write- up or article. Use of QR code scanner was also explained. Session inspired teachers to use technology
for effective teaching learning.
